Birth Doula

Comprehensive support throughout your pregnancy, labour, and immediate postpartum period. In recognizing that each journey is unique, my approach is tailored to your needs, preferences, and desires.

What does birth support include?

Complimentary Clarity Call

An opportunity to connect so you can share your hopes and dreams for your birth, I can share my philosophies and perspectives as a doula, and we can decide what support is best for you.

Prenatal Visits

We begin our journey together during your pregnancy. We'll meet for 2 prenatal visits to discuss your birth plan, address any concerns or questions you may have, and provide evidence-based information to help you make informed decisions. We'll also explore comfort measures, relaxation techniques, and coping strategies that align with your vision for birth.

On-Call Support

Day or night, 24/7 from 38 weeks on, when you feel labour starting I am a quick phone call away and will come to be with you when you feel you need extra support to move through labour.

Full Birth Attendance

Unwavering support throughout your entire labour and birth experience. From the moment you need me, I provide continuous emotional, physical, and informational support. I’ll assist with comfort measures, provide encouragement, advocate for your birth preferences, and create a calm and nurturing environment.

Birth Partner Support

I understand the importance of involving your birth partner in the journey. As your doula, I'll also guide and support your partner, ensuring they feel empowered and equipped to provide the best support possible. We work as a team, helping your birth partner understand their role and offering guidance on comfort techniques to enhance their participation in the birthing process.

Immediate Postpartum Support

The support doesn’t end once baby is born. I’ll continue to support for the first hour or two postpartum to ensure you and baby are snuggled up, baby is latching, and the birth space gets cleaned up.

Postpartum Follow-Up

In the days following your birth, we will schedule a postpartum visit to provide emotional support, answer any questions, offer breastfeeding guidance, and assist with your transition into the early days of parenthood. I’m here to help you recover, bond with your baby, and adjust to your new role as a parent.

Extra Goodness

One optional visit (prenatal or postpartum) that can be used at any time. Access to my lending library. Virtual resources. Birth debrief. Additional postpartum support. Phone, text and email support the whole time.
