FAQs

  • As a doula, I provide emotional, physical, and informational support throughout your pregnancy, birth, and postpartum period. I do not perform clinical tasks, deliver babies, or provide medical care. I work alongside your midwife, complementing their clinical care with continuous support focused on your emotional wellbeing and comfort.

  • Your midwife provides clinical care during your birth, but her primary responsibility is your physical safety and the safe delivery of your baby. As your doula, my sole focus is on you—your comfort, your experience, your emotional journey. I remain with you continuously, while midwives may need to divide attention between clinical tasks and support.

  • While I specialize in homebirth support, I'm open to discussing birth centre and select hospital births as well. My approach centres your intuition, which can be supported in various settings where natural birth is valued.

  • To ensure I can provide the dedicated attention and on-call support you deserve, I limit my practice to 2 births per month.

  • I maintain relationships with backup doulas who share my philosophy of birth support. In the rare event that I cannot attend your birth due to illness or simultaneous births, I will arrange for one of these trusted colleagues to support you.
